Saint Valentine Day Proposal

In a romantic rush of blood to the head, Tom Price (26) asked Dr Annie Lewis, on the evening of St Valentine's Day, February 14, 2004, if she would do him the honour of being his bride. In spite of having spent the day in Oxford, at the 80th birthday celebrations of Tom's maternal grandmother Marjorie Borshell, (attended by all Marjorie's descendants and their appurtenances, and sundry other members of the extended family, and friends) and thus having every opportunity to think better of it - Annie said Yes.

They had left the party to drive back to London with Tom saying he was going to cook a special meal. Obviously his culinary skills are pretty persuasive. Helped perhaps by the romantic box of chocolates, and the platinum ring with half carat diamond.

No wedding date has yet been announced.

We wish Tom and Annie the very best: it couldn't happen to a nicer couple.
