On November 4, 2006, my blog at Storyteller's World suffered some kind of Armageddon or core meltdown event. It appeared that the MySQL database at the host server was 150% full (I'm not sure how that can be possible), and at this stage it went on strike and wouldn't let me do anything to it: no postings, very little editing, and it was just "User X is not allowed access to this database." Not the most helpful of messages.
I'm not the most computer literate of bloggers, (though heaven knows, I'm not quite illiterate), so the best I could come up with was the imaginative and desperate idea of nuking the lot.
I hope I may have salvaged some of the content, just by saving whole swathes of it before the nuke fell. And until I can work out something else to do with it, here it is. You're welcome to look and read, though don't be too surprised by the appearance of some of the pages, or if the permalinks - and probably quite a few of the other internal links don't actually work.
Update, July 2011: I'm now trying to edit these lost pages bit by bit and make them more readable. It's a bit like trying to dig up Stone Age skeletons: slow and painstaking, removing the grot and the broken links. So please be patient and bear with me.
